Does anyone else have this?
For Mother’s Day this year I bought myself a Cuttlebug. I have liked it overall. BUT. It is supposed to suction to the table while you are working with it. Mine, however, comes loose after a few turns of the handle. And when I am making 60+ Christmas cards I do not want to stop to re-suction it. I have tried putting it on a damp surface, a dry surface. Everything. It does really neat embossing and cutting and the dies aren’t expensive. It is fun for my scrapbooks and card making. Does anyone else have one? Does yours do this? It is driving me crazy!
Super Saturday – Part 3
What would a super-Saturday be with out women making crafts? It wouldn’t be that super, would it? Here is what I made:
Transparency Pictures. So simple. Take a 5×7 picture that you like, and a quote that you like. Print the quote on a 6×8 piece of transparency and place it over the picture. Put in a frame. So simple. So cute. So powerful.
Be tiles. These were so easy to make! It took like half a second. I cleaned the tile with Windex and rubbed the vinyl lettering on it. So easy. So cute. Now, I just need to figure out a way to display it.
Scrapbooks. Isn’t this the cutest thing you have ever seen? We made them by gluing two pieces of chip-board together and covering it with paper. We then punched holes, added jump rings and ribbon and voila! An adorable Christmas scrapbook! The pages inside are a deep red, but yet to be embellished. So excited to fill this book this Christmas.
Top all of that off with a lunch of Chicken Salad Croissant sandwiches, ice cream pie and your super-Saturday is complete. And totally super.
Printing Pictures
So, how often do you print pictures?
I don’t nearly often enough. That or I take too many pictures because when I got get pictures printed it costs at least $20 to do so.
I found the coolest website: www.scrapbookpictures.com
You must check it out.
Here is what they offer: $2 flat shipping – no matter how much you order!
12 cent 4×6 prints – cheaper than Costco & Sam’s
You can CROP, EDIT, and ADD very cool BORDERS.
And the best part? You can get prints in THIRTY different sizes. Seriously.
They say that they ship within 24-hours of the order and I placed my order yesterday. Can’t wait to get my pictures and get scrappin’!
Cool Site
My parents 40th Wedding Anniversary is coming up and I was thinking of making them a little scrapbook album. I decided to do a yahoo search for 1967 Time Capsules and I came across the coolest website! It is www.kimandjason.com It has all sorts of cool info from 1950-1989. I looked up about 1967 and the year I was born, 1979. It was fun to look at. Take a look if you have time! Let me know what you think!
Digital Scrapbooking
Bryan gave me Adobe Photoshop Elements for my birthday or Mother’s day last year in hopes that I would do some of my scrapbooking digitally. I ordered the new magazine Digital Scrapbooking which is put out by Simple Scrapbooks. The premier issue arrived yesterday. I am looking forward to jumping into it but I am very overwhelmed? Does anyone out there scrapbook digitally with Adobe Elements?
I just finished a 8×8 paper album for my father-in-law and his wife. They got married about a year and a half ago and they decided to get all their kids together for a vacation. She has 5 kids and he has 6 kids. They took us to Cancun (so nice) for a week so I made them a scrapbook of the trip for them. I used Keeping Memories Alive spring green paper and some 3 Bugs in a Rug patterned paper. It turned out really cute. These vacation albums that I have done in this size are my favorites. The kids love them too. I think that they are easier for them to hold.
